It's Alright

I've always been fascinated with those that inspired.  Whether it be fashion designers, musicians, artists...  there has always been someone who provided the material for some of the most memorable and passionate work.  Of course to be this influential to genius artists, they often are eccentric, mysterious, passionate, and often tragic women that often have more interesting stories then the artist.  With this small series of posts on muses now and then I'll start off with an unknown to most, but someone who impacted the life of in my opinion the greatest artist of all time. Bob Dylan.

Suze Rotolo, Bob Dylan's girlfriend in the 60's, who recently died and is remembered in Rolling Stones February issue. Check it out at www.rollingstone.com/music/news/suze-rotolo-bob-dylans-girlfriend.com. Their love ended as most rock memoirs, she left him and traveled to Europe, which inspired "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right".  They reconnected at the jumping off point of his career until he found another girl to write music about.  She went on to lead a semi normal life in New York, remaining silent for years on her relationship, She ended up writing a memoir late, A Freewheelin' Time: A Memoir of Greenwich Village in the Sixties.  Surprisingly this is the only book written about Bob Dylan I haven't gotten to, that will change this week as I'm downloading it as I'm typing...

Ledisko photo shoot

I told you to stay tuned for the amazing photos from the Laugh Cry Repeat/Revolve Clothing event last week and here they are! All of us girls took advantage of the awesome photography by Ledisko Productions and we were models for the night. To see more fun photos go to http://www.ledisko.com/ ...enjoy! :)

Where to live next...

Jessica Stam's living room, my color inspiration and I love the early 60;s modern furniture
After two years living at the Marina, Wyatt and I are moving. As much as I love living right by the water, it is an absolute must that I find a place with a lot more space, ideally a room that could function as my office and a large walk in closet...a  girl can dream right.  Now that I finally have a break from school, my down time will be spent dreaming up our new place and scouring antique fairs, fabric houses, and La Cienga to piece together the new look.  I would say my interior style is a lot like my personal style.  70's free spirit, unique pieces with history, with a backdrop of clean, modern simplicity.  Here's just a couple of my personal favorite rooms at the moment.

Minnie Mortimer. Her entire house is a mixture of easy, relaxed beach mixed with touches of glamour. I love the artwork, very inspired.

Minnie Mortimer's closet...can this be mine?

Minni Mortimer...love that this functions as a library and dining room. I will always find a unique place to store my book collection

Jenna Lyons..I'm in love with her entire Brooklyn home, but who isn't

Erin Featherston..whimsical, feminine, and very bohemian. Not sure how Wyatt would handle a house completely designed this way, so maybe just my office..

Backyard Fun

I was getting ready for work wearing my new Free People Maxi Skirt and Wildfox Couture top when I saw my 7 month old puppy completely digging up my Mom's newly gardened flowers she labored over. I decided instead of getting upset, I would relieve him of his boredom and have a quick photo shoot. After all it was National Dog day yesterday...we needed to have a little fun! ...The wheelbarrow that was used for dumping out his mess worked well for a fun background :)

Wish List

Urban Outfitters sunglasses

Urban Outfitters sunglasses (see more urban outfitters sunglasses)

Summer is almost over and one of my favorite seasons of the year is right around the corner...FALL! I absolutely love the beautiful autumn trees, crisp clean air, and getting ready to change up my wardrobe. I'm obsessed with everything on my "wish list" mainly because everything is so amazing!

1. First, is this insane Unearthen watch. They have this one of a kind vintage look to them, each made with a gorgeous prism.

2. I love these fun Sweetheart sunglasses from Urban Outfitters to give every outfit a carefree look.

3. Another staple fall piece will be this Cynthia Vincent Faux Fur Vest. You can easily layer it over any outfit, which I love.

4. To carry all my stuff around I would die to have this Alexander Wang Bucket Bag. It has a sophisticated, yet edgy look and I bet can carry all my junk!

5. Target's new line by Missoni will definitely be a new addition to my wardrobe. It's very 70's inspired and at such a great price!

6. Lastly, are these adorable Steve Madden Sandals. These are trendy and I can see myself wearing these with a day and night outfit.

The Night Off...

leather jacket, Converse, H&M top, Marc Jacobs bag

So life has been crazy lately.  Between work, events, school, and deciding where to move (only one month left to decide!)  I never make time to just RELAX.  A couple of nights ago, Wyatt took me to dinner at the best Sushi place in Seal and then we saw a surprisingly must buy movie, Crazy Stupid Love.  It was nice to take a break and enjoy a much needed date night.

Laugh Cry Repeat

A little perk to being an associate at Revolve Clothing are the amazing events they put together. Revolve teamed up with Ledisko Productions and Laugh Cry Repeat for a "Moonlight Swim Party" on the roof top of the W Hotel in Hollywood. I came with one of Revolve's Fashion Merchandisers, Starlin Welsh, along with co-contributor to Sun in Her Eyes, Kathryn Harris and my best friend Jill Jordan. We ran into Keith Wilson, owner of Ledisko Productions, who made the event become a success. Keith is the jack of all trades being the host, DJ, and waiter as well as having his own photo shoot set up for all guests. The experience of getting VIP treatment mixed with the amazing fashion made for one great night.

Stay tuned for some great shots from the party photographed by Ledisko Productions!

What we wore:
Starlin is wearing a Blu Moon Dress with sandals from Aldo; Kathryn is wearing a Vintage black dress and Max-azria peep toe heels; Jill is wearing a vintage sweater with forever 21 skirt and booties; I am wearing a Forever 21 Dress and necklace with House of Harlow boots.
